Mobile online games are becoming popular in today’s digital age. They aren’t only considered to be true source of fun, but, for busy people like me who wants something new, playing a mobile game will not only be a stress reliever, it’s more a unique way to escape those mind boggling activities at work, home or school. While I’m searching for a new mobile game to play, this one captured my attention “Dawn of Titans”. So, I won’t keep you waiting as I share with you what this particular mobile game has to offer, and how you can level up your gaming experience as a newbie player like me.

Overview of the game

Dawn of Titans is an inspired action pack game from Total War Battles Kingdom. Playing it for the first time for a few hours gave me a pleasurable experience because of its very easy to play and you don’t need to comply with complex base building rules that the Kingdom game requires. In fact, playing it is very casual as players get a chance to control their base, build and upgrade buildings that will give them a chance to get the resources needs, train troops, select the best Titan and send them to fight other players in PvP and A1 opponents. Getting started to send your troops to battle only requires tapping their icons and tapping the targeted units or leading a path to enemy units, so that you gain full control over your units. During the entire game battle, player has a chance to incorporate his or her gaming tactics to ambush enemies and maximize spells for a massive destruction.

Graphics and Sound Effects

Based on my personal gaming experience on the Dawn of Titans, the graphics here are more like a game console graphics including the sound effects. You can actually feel the intensity of the game’s atmosphere as you get a chance to build your army and upgrade on the next phase. In fact, playing it for the first time gave me a real feel of game as the battle becomes realistic, particularly in the Hall of Titans. When you zoom your castle and buildings, you get a detailed outlook while the navigating the game, but not real-time graphics. The part which you can control real-time objects is during the raids.

Gameplay

As I’ve mentioned playing this mobile game for the first time game me the impression of playing a game-console because you get the opportunity to carry on with massive war battles, consisting of large number of troops. I find this game to have shorter play as compared with other mobile games, but with the opportunity to complete it in less than five, is awesome if you stay focused. However, the resource farming section of this game is a bit slow, which I think would be a drawback as players are compelled to raid. This could be quite a struggle if troop training resources have been used already.

Game campaign mode

This is what makes Dawn of Titans a must try mobile online game because its campaign mode is enjoyable, challenging and extremely a rewarding experience that I feel is lacking with other offline games I did play. For you to have a fun-filled gaming experience, see to it you have a fast internet connection.

Battery Usage

One of the setbacks I did noticed when playing the Dawn of Titans is my battery drains quickly, especially while viewing my Titans in the Hall of Titans or during an online battle.

Social

Another amazing feature of this online mobile game is the chance to connect and make conversation with other players through the in-game chatting and private message feature with your alliance members. But, be ready to experience slow turnaround when you are sending bulk message. I find the copying and pasting exhausting on my fingers.

Overall gaming experience

The Dawn of Titans like other mobile games I’ve played has its strengths and weaknesses, but as I weigh my overall experience this in indeed a refreshing game that I would try again during my free time. The game itself is truly appealing because you gain full control in the palm of your hands, which I feel is similar to the gaming console we are used to.

Gaming tips to play Dawn of Titans effectively:

Tip #1 – Take time to know your Titan

Remember there are many types and classes of Titans you will come across and it would be an advantage if you take time to know personally your Titan. Why? Each Titan has its own attribute and failing, regardless it is designed to guard the kingdom or lead armies in the battle. Knowing your Titan can help you perform better in the game and plan carefully your line-up which is the core of this game.

Tip #2 – Play smart

Yes, playing smart is crucial in winning a battle. So, make sure your troops are matched properly with other troops. Always aim for balance in speed and strength. Take advantage of the “charge bonuses” where the troops earn higher stats for charging.

Tip #3 – Formulate an active battle plan

Although, this game has automated features and tactics in the battle, it’s still best as a player to formulate an active battle plan, then, choose the “auto orders” function to view how this battle plan differs prior launching an attack or lead, but see to it that you redirect the troops in the mid-battle. Keep in mind, expect things to go out your way despite planning and redirecting your move could provide a favorable outcome in the end.

Tip #4 – Watch all possible angles of attacks

Attacks in the battle can come from any angle or direction, so watch all possible slides like caves or hidden enemies that will just attack out of nowhere. Your role in this game is deal your enemy and wipe it out as a charging militia or a titan taking frontal force.

Tip #5 – Upgrade castles

This game is a strategy game like the Clash of Clans, and for you to remain stronger than your opponents, you need to build stronger foundations like upgrading the castle. Why? Upgrading the castle can give you opportunity to speed and develop faster. But, as for my personal experience it would be more advantageous if you focus on building and upgrading building including troops before concentrating in upgrading the castle and unlocking new objects.

Tip #6 – Know the right timing to play as single or multiplayer

There are some games wherein it would be better to play as a single player, rather than opt for multiplayer. Similar to these other games, the Dawn of Titans also uses this kind of gaming set-up wherein players can engage as a single or multiplayer mode. If you will ask my opinion, better play as a single player when you need resources in building or upgrading, rather than raiding in multiplayer. Besides, doing it as multiplayer would cost more ‘gems’. The secret here is know the right timing to play as a single or multiplayer.

Tip #7 – Know your enemy army set-up

Before tapping the “Raid” option for a campaign mission or PvP battle, check first your enemy’s army set-up indicator. The indicator will show the type of units your enemy will deploy. Below is the triangular chart, categorized into three indictors:

Apex – Heavy

Left base angle – Ranged

Right base angle – Fast moving units

Once you select the troops, you will see the two indicators inside the triangle, the red indicator is your enemy while the blue indicator is yours. For example, if the triangular indicator shows both at the Apex, then, you need to be prepared as a mix of ranged and heavy units will be deployed. So, with this chart you can have an idea on what types of units that will defeat your opponent’s units.

Tip #8 – Focus on food

Another way to play this online mobile game is by focusing on food. Here, you can train and upgrade your troops to raid faster for higher loot. In farming your way to the game, this won’t allow you to attack on higher levels. But, in order for troops to become faster at raids and this is achievable via training troops and for them to perform they need food like corn.

Tip #9 – Other matters crucial for the game

There are other matters crucial for winning this game such as:

You need to complete buildings for free within the timeframe of less than 5 minutes.

Collect your resources regularly like captured lands because these are prone to raids.

You can drop or change captured lands depending on your goals. For example, if you are short for gold which is need for builds, then, you have no choice but drop previous lands to hold gold mining or visa-versa for food and XP needs.

The faster way to earn free diamonds is complete daily challenges.

Train as many troops as you can because it will not only give you opportunity to raid faster, but also reduce the percentage of your resources being stolen.
