DISH Anywhere

DISH Anywhere is an application from DISH Network LLC. It is an app that allows audiences watch the same TV that at home on their Fire tablets, TV, and their Fire TV sticks. This app is where one can enjoy watching their favorite and followed both live and recorded shows at any time and any place.

The application also clears the cache of all the apps installed on the device, can read low-level system log files, has access to the accounts in the account service, and also stands as an authenticator of account for the account manager.

There are a lot of features in this app which can be enjoyed by the users. It is capable in entering Wi-Fi Multicast mode, notifies when the operating system is done in booting, writes to external storage, broadcast sticky intents, and also allows the application in setting higher application priorities on the device.

It also comes with open network sockets, requests the AccountManager for auth tokens, has access to the information about networks, receives information on both recently and currently running tasks, WakeLocks to keep the processor from dimming the screen or sleeping. It can also be paired with Bluetooth devices, reads access to a device state, and receives messages with Google Cloud Messaging.

As for the transfer function, it requires a high speed of the internet to a Hopper with Sling DVR. As to the Hopper with a Sling Adapter, it is not supported. User’s mobile should also be connected to the network where the Hopper with Sling is connected to be able to transfer recordings. An active DISH account should also be maintained to view the transferred records.
