Gameplay

League of Heroes is set in the world of Britannica, the Sovereign of Darkness that is scheming to sink the world into chaos. You will lead your team of heroes with a different skill set in battle and change your heroes’ formations and turns in order to achieve the greatest chance of victory. The game’s PVE battle will consist of three rounds each: 1st tier enemies, more difficult 2nd tier enemies, and the final round would be the boss battle.

The game’s tactical elements of combat are perfect on a touch screen, and the turned-based combat makes playing on a mobile device very convenient. It's prolonged combat systems make gaining loot and EXP more convenient but at the same time very prone to tedium. PVP battles, on the other hand, are for more fun and a core draws to the game.

Legion of Heroes lends itself quite well to gaming on a mobile device. The game has a refreshing over world and a map where you can walk freely walk around. Not similar to other games such as Brave Frontier, you can see an actual interaction with the world around you. Instead of just clicking on a certain zone, and then clicking on the battle, you can wander the land in true MMO fashion in order to complete your quests and do battle. Your current quest will be displayed on your screen, and you can just click on it to walk you to the NPC, object, or even the monsters that you need to fight.

You will have a squad of heroes that you can recruit by using tickets, which are obtainable as rewards when you complete quest and or any victory in combat. They are not difficult to get, though gold tickets sometimes appear with less frequency. There are different kinds of tickets like bronze, silver, and gold. Each of them has their own heroes that can be acquired and a star rating up to Double Gold Star.

However, if you have a character that you like but that character is in a lower rank, you can promote them using the fusion system. You can do this by using the same type of character that will yield greater EXP towards promotions. Don’t forget that there are some points in the story where you can’t progress until you gained more characters at specific levels.

When it comes to the game’s graphics, it’s impressive. The game’s graphics are very solid, and everything seems to look great so far. This is probably one of the best looking mobile games I’ve played in quite a while. I can see that this game will collect more and more players due to its excellent gameplay and graphics.

Since this is a phone-based game, there is so much you can control. The clicking/touch screen interface was a bit strong. The game’s auto-run feature was a great idea, and in this instance, it makes lots of sense to the game.

Guild Wars

One aspect of guild wars that usually gets overlooked is armor. In guild wars, always remember that armor is essential. Unlike Hero Wars, where the armor is strengthened only in the first few rounds and then debuffed afterwards. Although armors can win you guild wars, weapons always dissuade enemies from attacking you.

Interesting facts

• You cannot be attacked by any player if you are online.

• If you want to farm heroes for rank points, make sure to train heroes of rank 1 because they cost less to fuse. Remember that there is a 5000 gold difference between fusing a level 50 rank 1 and rank 2 seasons 2 hero.

• If you fuse a level 50 season 1 hero, it gives you 500 bonus rank points. And fusing a level 50 season 2 hero gives you 100 rank points. This is regardless of their respective ranks.

• If you fuse a level 50 hero, it will make the target hero gain 50 levels.

• You can stock up your heroes by simply fighting fleeing ants in insect hive. From there you can grind up 3.5 heroes per day because one fight usually lasts 1 min and 35 seconds. EXP you’ll get is around 108k. You’ll also loot a level 70 gear.

• You can also stock up season 2 level 50 heroes allowing you to fuse them on your new event hero once an event starts. You can grind a 1.5 level 50 hero per day in the tower together with your other eight party members at their max level.

Tips and Tricks

What You Can Farm

In Legion of Heroes, you can farm the following:

• Experience

• Rank Experience – a higher tower level gives you more RExp.

• Gold

• Nectar – you can use it for Heroes Awakening and Main Char Ring Quests.

• Rune Stones – you can get them on all floors.

• Hero Tickets – you can either keep them or use them for Legendary Essences.

Always Avoid Auto-Battle Unless You Grind

When you decide to use the auto battle feature, make sure you grind. Otherwise, you’re best off managing the battles and having the auto battle off, because the game’s AI isn’t that sophisticated when working on your behalf. Just keep in mind that it only chooses the simplest strategy.

Remember When The Game Says Tactical, It Means Tactical!

When the game talks about battle strategy, it means tactical. Keep in mind that there are several positions for you to move your heroes, and each special skill they have has multiple attack ranges. That simply means that it’s very important for you to review and learn each special skill and always check the description. Doing this will allow you to hit more enemies at once. And since your enemies can change their formation per turn, you will have to adjust and fine-tune your strategy to defeat your opponent constantly.

Make Sure To Reinforce Your Equipment

Always remember that enhancing your equipment will require you to use some of your gold, but it’ll be worth it because your equipment will improve by one rarity level. Take note that all future upgrades to increase rarity of equipment will cost you twice the amount of the first one. This is a good way to spend your gold because as your get permanent upgrades to your attack and defense, they are also about twice as big as the last upgrade.

Keep In Mind That The AI Is Quite Advanced

It’s very important that you make some changes to your battle strategy and always move your heroes per turn. If you don’t do that, the AI of the game can easily read your game plan without any problem and target you with multiple-hit combos that can deal massive damage. However, it’s inevitable that you’ll lose several heroes in return. If ever this happens, make sure to spread your remaining heroes as far as possible so that they won’t be prone from your enemy’s splash damage.

Other Ways That You Can Upgrade Your Heroes

There are actually different ways for you to upgrade you heroes in Legion of Heroes. One way is by replaying previously completed levels. Repeating battles that you have already won can help you in a big way. Another way is to fuse your heroes by sacrificing your lower-ranked and less important ones to target your strongest hero. Remember that once a fused hero’s rank level reaches its maximum level, they will be promoted to the next rank and from there, you can enjoy some massive stat boosts.
