Magic Rush: Heroes is a free-to-play tower and line defense game developed by Elex, the company behind games like Vikings: Age of Warlords, Sky Commander, and Sword of King: Excalibur.
The game is all about evolving heroes that act as tower defenders and troops in PvE instanced maps. The campaign mode of the game follows a set of starter heroes as players chase down the enemy who had stolen the hero shards of their comrades.
The gameplay is essentially interconnected into the game’s excellent effort of a mythos. But it just primarily means that players just need to focus on evolving and leveling their hero pool as they enter each map in the campaign mode, or through different dungeons.
Aside from the PvP and PvE campaigns, the game also provides some cool features that are expected from a top-tier F2P mobile game such as dungeon raids, clan system, research and development, ladder matches, and many more. The game has five unit types available that players can choose. Star ranking distinguishes each hero with one being the lowest and five as the highest rank. Units can also level up by sending them on quests/maps.
The Campaign Mode of the game features the standard active time battle system where players battle against monster mobs. Players only control active skill activation and targeting if they tap and hold on a specific ability. Magic Rush: Heroes' other game mode is the “Tower Defense Battles” which is a tower defense that is twisted in the style of the favorite game, Kingdom Rush.
