Mekorama is a brand new robot puzzler from the favorite Odd Bot Out’s solo developer named Martin Magni. The idea behind the game is that players will need to help out an adorable lost robot on his way back home, which can only be done through a series of 50 little mechanical dioramas. Every diorama can be spin 360 degrees to have a view to all sides as players lead their robot into the puzzle.
In order to get to the destination, players will cross paths that are made up of blocks that are passable and sometimes not. To move along tracks, players can just tap on the specific block that they’re trying to move towards. If ever the direct path is open, their robot will waddle along to the player’s destination. But if the path is obstructed, players will need to find out a way around, under, or through.
Another nice feature of the game is the ability to build own levels with modular elements in a style that it will not look familiar to Minecraft fanatics. Looking for the player-created levels will happen outside of the game via Mekorama’s official social media pages. But getting the level into the game is pretty straightforward.
The game is entirely "pay what you want." For players who want to contribute to the game, they can create an IAP that acts as their payment. Also, nothing is locked in the game, and it doesn’t feature an energy system or life systems to keep players from playing as long as they want. Even if they choose not to pay.
Mekorama composes of perfectly designed puzzles, with expert animation, and a thoughtful player engagement that makes it a fun game to play.
