Gameplay

This base management strategy game takes place on the high seas. Players will have to create a port kingdom that is fit for royalty and at the same time train a fleet of courageous captains. Throughout the game, the players will sail the seas, and either brings down the destructive monsters or attack other players to earn fame and glory.

In this game, players need to either join or create an alliance and build forces to fight against the empire or other alliances. There are also trade cities available for war for a limited period, and also means that conquering a city means more perks for all the alliance members.

Empire Troops

These Empire troops or the NPC (Non-player characters) are scattered around the world map. They are just like a typical real player alliance that is set up in small clusters. They also have castles ranging from level 1 to 32.

Players can attack Empire castles like a regular player’s castle but cannot have a peace shield active which they will have real losses as the attacker. This is also considered as an excellent way to get a feel for PVP combat before the players dive in.

In preventing abuse as well as farming of Empire castles, players must earn tickets from the quest rewards and also kill monsters. The tickets come in three tiers and the higher the tier, the higher level range of empire castles the players can attack. Each of the attacks requires one ticket.

After a few attacks, this Empire troops will retaliate against the players or their alliances. One attack can also provoke them sometimes. However, there isn’t much to worry about there as the players will have plenty of 1-hour peace shields to repel the attack.

Boss Monsters

In Oceans & Empires, there are also boss monsters that are spawning on the world map. These boss monsters allow the players to rally their alliances together and also attack for rewards. The alliance that takes the part of killing blow earns extra rewards. Killing the bosses in this game is not that essential to the player growth, but is an added task.

Cities

Taking over the cities is where the players should set their focus as it will provide them with the strategic locations as well as resources that are necessary for them to continue expanding. There will also be special trade cities that will be available for war on specific time periods which will give perks to the members of the alliance if taken over.

However, not all cities can be taken without any challenges and hassles. Players will need to be prepared in backing up their actions with some heavy firepower to block other alliances.

Items

In this game, a shield provides immunity to all of the attacks. The shield can be found in the Items. It will be disabled if the players attack the other Dominions and or returning from the use of the Assault feature.

Players can use the 1-hour shield when someone is coming over for an attack, 8 hours for the overnight and the 24hr shields that the players can get on the market with the points that they have earned from the alliance research contributions. These are most useful whenever the players reached above the level 15 castle and are getting on the resources required as they cannot protect the amount that is needed.

The Gold rewards in this game also allow the players to buy the three-day shields often for 3000 gold if they are pretty active.

Trading

In trading, the players can make use some of their bonus items that they have picked up and push for a trade with it.

Battles

In the game’s battles, the players will be able to watch their ships use the immense firepower against the enemies that they will encounter throughout the game. For the players that want to improve their attack and other strategic plans in a battle, they can check on the battle replay system and watch all of their encounters.

Sailing the seas with encountered battles needs a well-planned attack. For the players to come up with one, here are some of the tips and tricks that may help them throughout their journey in the sea.

Completing the Quests

The Marigold’s quests are the main quests that players will receive. If the players were able to complete these quests, it would help them advance in the story. They should also make sure their base is up to date with enough amounts of resources and their supplies.

The second set of quests that players have to deal with is the Challenge quests. It may have a similar objective as to Marigold’s quests, but it offers better rewards such as gold.

The last set of quests is the Daily Quests. These quests cycle out every day and offer a generous supply amount of resources when completed. Players should complete as many quests as they can for more rewards.

Keeping the Queues Running

There will be different queues that players will have to track.

Building Queue

- This is the first queue of the players where they can have up to two buildings being constructed on at a time, whether it is built for the first time or in an upgrade.

Research Queue

- This is the second queue your research queue that grants the players passive bonuses into a variety of aspects regarding their base. Players should research as much as they can and work on one research in progress at a time.

Barracks

- The barracks is the third and last of the queues. It is where the player’s troops are stored and also trained. The more troops the players have on their ships, the better chances they have.

These are the main queues that need to be tracked. Players should make sure to make their buildings busy at all times.

Using Gold

The queues consume a lot of times can get crazy long. If the players want to speed up their timers, they can use their gold. Gold is the premium currency in this game, and it is pretty easy to come by when completing as many quests as they can, most especially the Challenge quests.

Fighting With Random Sea Monsters

Players should try to fight some random sea monsters if they are planning to go on full Aggro. They should also take on the ones that they can actually defeat as it will provide them with some decent rewards just like experience, resources, and gold.

In between trips, the players should fix the damages on their ships which were acquired from the battles. Players should also consider their ships as another part of their queue which they have to check in time for the possible damages it can get from the battles.

Checking the Inventory

In the player’s inventory, the game will load some freebie items that will grant the players an immediate supply of a particular resource upon use. There are also items that will provide the players with gold and experience. They usually get these items by doing the quests, so they should make sure to check the inventory from time to time.
