Gameplay
Playing the game requires you to pay attention as much as possible in order to select which block to aim for. Aiming at a low number block might lead you to a walled-off path that’s blocked by a higher-number block, which can result in either a severe shortening of your snake or to the end of your run if you are not paying attention.
Unfortunately, ads always pop up in this game. But there’s a way for you to stop them from appearing temporarily, and that’s by setting up your device into airplane mode. And if ever if you want to make them disappear without letting the data in and out of your device, the best way for that is to purchase the ad-free in-app purchase to make the game ad-free forever. Just hit the options button to restore your IAPs if you’ll purchase it, delete the game, and then just reinstall it.
If you die for the very first time during a run, the game will give you an offer to watch a video ad for a few seconds so that you can restart from where you left off. If you have the data for it, play the video, and the round will start again. However, if you’ll die for the second time around, your run will be over for good.
Snake VS Blocks Game Features:
• Endless Gameplay
• Very easy and simple swipe control
• Free-to-play
• You can challenge your friends with the best high score
Snake VS Block can be a very addictive game. The game is known to be a high score chaser which is very easy to learn and play, but exceedingly difficult to master. Remember to avoid crashing through numbered block because it will reduce the size or length of your snake by the number they show. Keep in mind that if you hit a certain block having a higher number than the length of your snake, you will die right away.
Your score will be based on the value of the blocks your break, and not the number of balls you collect. You will also need a very long snake which can survive for a long time in order to break those large blocks. If you’re up for some serious snake longevity, here are some tips and tricks for you.
Tips and Tricks
Make Sure To Collect A Lot Of Balls
There will be a lot of balls scattered throughout the game for you to pick up. You should try to get as many as you can. Remember that these balls are very important in determining how long you will survive in the game. Always aim at balls with higher numbers on them. The numbers that on the ball will indicate the number of balls that will be added to your snake. So don’t ignore them.
Always Keep Moving
Hitting a block will not prevent you from moving, and you don’t have to push through that certain block just because you’ve made contact with it. For instance, if you made contact with a wall at a 30 block and there is a two block nearby, you can continue swiping to move your snake to the side and break through that two block instead. You can do that as long as you have the guts to make it that far. Similarly, if you made contact with a block on the side, you can still move and keep going as long as you keep navigating your snake forward. Death may look imminent in this situation, but as long as you keep swiping, it’s possible to make it through a brutal set of obstacles.
Always Aim For Low Numbered Blocks
A lot of players make that mistake that happens after more numbered blocks. If you need some visual hints, the blue and the green are usually lower numbered. Always avoid the red blocks.
Make Sure To Master The Side Step
Your snake can be extremely responsive and flexible, which allows it to move almost perpendicularly to its forward momentum. This means that you can quickly grab a ball almost directly to your side if you are fast enough. Remember that by grabbing multiple balls that are aligned along the horizontal axis rather than just those that are directly in front of you, will be your key to getting a longer snake.
Always Find Your Flow
Snake VS Block is usually about flow-in the formal sense of finding your flow. Having that meditative state of moving through several challenges with comfort and ease. Don’t forget that your snake can move fast which will require you to make quick decisions, but if you can find your flow, just roll what comes at you. You’ll find yourself doing far better than if you second guess every decision. Another part of getting in flow is by moving freely and comfortably. This means that you’ll need to use your dominant hand for this one-handed game while supporting your device as needed. It’s also recommendable to keep your finger on your device rather than you tapping to change directions.
Practice Makes Perfect
Snake VS Block is actually auto-generated to be a different path every time. That simply means that a certain amount of luck will determine the map through which you will need to navigate. You could experience a lot of cheap deaths early in the game, but just stick with it, and you’ll see yourself more familiar with the controls. You’ll also start to see some of the patterns of the game that emerge with walls and paths. Snakes VS Blocks feels very challenging at the outset, but just stick with it, and you’ll see your high scores starts to increase.
Always Bounce With Caution
One way for you to quickly rack up points is simply bouncing back and forth between two blocks. But always be careful when you decide to do this because it will affect the balls on your snake twice as fast. This means that you’ll run out of balls while bouncing between two blocks. Always use your best judgment when deciding when it’s safe to run between two blocks.
Make Sure To Always Aim Strategically
If you’re in a situation where you being led into a full wall with no openings, remember that the block having the lowest number is usually followed up by a block having a very high number. So you will always need to navigate very quickly to prevent making contact with a high number block, or you can end up crashing and eventually die afterward. This can be even worse if there are walls that hinder you from moving to a different track. But when you’re facing that big wall, it can be sometimes more beneficial to hit a mid-range block, rather than the lowest numbered block to prevent you from being forced into a track having an impossibly high numbered block on the other side.
Always Do The Left And Right Technique
Remember that your snake cannot move backward and you won’t have any control on its forward momentum. The only thing that you can do is to swerve your snake from left to right. However, you can swerve your snake left or right at anytime you like, even after you’ve run into a block and if you’re trapped in it.
Always use this chance to slide away from high-numbered blocks that you have accidentally run into or to grab sets of balls that are just right next to one another.
Always Know The Score
One way for you to get a better score in this game is simply finding out what’s giving you points. Even though you’ll pick up stacks of balls and make some progress on that endless corridor, the only best way to get points is simply by running into the stationary, colored blocks that have numbers on them.
Remember that the distance that your snake travel or the number of balls that you pick up will not directly impact your score. Only the balls that your snake spent running into blocks will add to your total score. Also, keep in mind that you don’t have to break a block entirely for you to receive points. Everytime your snake runs into a block, you’ll spend a ball and decreases its counter by one, which in turn earns you a point.
