Transformers: Earth Wars

Transformers Earth Wars by BackFlip Studios is a free strategy game for iOS and Android platforms. Players are given the task to take control of either the Autobot’s or Decepticon’s home bases on Earth as they arrive. They will have two options which are either to protect the planet with the Autobots or, eliminate everything that stands in the way of the Decepticons stealing all the Energon cubes from the Earth.

The game itself focuses and utilizes the gameplay from other F2P simulation games like Star Wars Commanders and Clash of Clans. This means that the overall gameplay is all about building thematic bases, collecting resources and fellow Cybertron robots.

Similar to other strategy games, player’s objective is to build up resource gathering and storing buildings for Energon and Alloy. These two are the game’s primary resources. Players are after tasked to create base defenses by creating cannons, turrets, and tall walls as they try to stop other players from invading their base and getting their hard-earned resources. They can also collect or Autobots or Decepticons by unlocking them via Space Bridge using the crystals that they earn in-game or in-app purchases.

The game has six class types to choose from. Each class type has its own unique share of strengths and weaknesses as players deploy them in the opponent’s base of command. The game only has one side of the field for players to field the robots.

Players only chance of success will solely depend on the choices of classes they have as they attack, the timing and the kind of active skills that each of the three units carries, and the opponent’s base building strategy.
